Asian Weddings
Okay so I got a commission recently to make some promotional material for a hotel. They wanted to attract more of the Indian, Bangladeshi and Pakistani communities in the area to use them as a venue for weddings.
Mehndi (henna tattoos) resonant with all of these cultures so thats what I've tried to go for here.
Sorting out a colour scheme was tough but I think I got it pretty much how I wanted it in the end!

Okay so I have some awesome news...
During my final year at university I entered the 'Gender Equality Now' competition, run by the non-profit organisation 'Poster for Tomorrow'. The subject of gender equality is one I feel very passionately about and I was very honoured to be one of the 100 entries chosen to be exhibited around the world and featured in the competition catalogue.
There are some fantastic entries (you can view the top 10 entries on posterfortomorrow.org) and I am very proud to be a part of this event.
You can find this piece on my print shop at society 6 as well:

I'm trying to pick the font and composition for the first thing I'm planning to put on Society 6.
I'm always so indecisive at this point! Helpppppp!

John Watson
God I hated doing the jumper on this! I was cursing 'John's oatmeal jumper' as it is known in fandom. But overall this was a fun colour experiment.

Love this woman! This is a little bit of an experiment that didn't pan out, but I like it all the same...

Sherlock Fanart
I am a massive fan of anything Sherlock Holmes related; the books, movies, radio shows, anything.
I got completely hooked when I was little after I saw Jeremy Brett playing Holmes on ITV. In my opinion he will always embody how Arthur Conan Doyle intended Sherlock to behave and look.
Saying that Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman in the BBC adaptation are fantastic, I'm reserving judgement on the 'Elementary' version but I'm feeling dubious from what I've seen so far.
Anyway this was my first illustration done with Illustrator and then finished off in photoshop. I'm liking Illustrator so far although like all Adobe programs it has such a steep learning curve.
Also it should be said I am obsessed with mist and smoke, obsessed I tell you!

Procrastinating...
So while avoiding job hunting (because I still find it hard to believe I've actually graduated!) I do things like create a customised trainer for Iron Man...
I think this shows that graduating does not necessarily mean maturing!
